The programme at a glance

One three-unit bridge to compare facial layering, 3D staining with micro-layering and simple staining.

Who is it for?

Dental-technology students, recent graduates and dental technicians who want to revisit the foundations.

Prerequisites

Know the general operation of a dental laboratory and its safety rules.

What you will produce

  1. Produce a crown layered on the facial surface.
  2. Combine 3D staining and micro-layering.
  3. Complete a simple staining protocol, then compare all three finishes.

Programme outline

Day 1

Introduction, bridge assessment and first steps

presentation of the theme, objectives and rules for precision, function, aesthetics and safety; assessment of the three-unit bridge and selection of the finish for each crown.

identification of connectors, contacts and occlusion; initial characterisation, facial layering, micro-layering and preparation for firing.

Day 2

Comparing the three finishes and harmonising the bridge

review of the first firing, correction of shape, thickness and contacts; 3D staining completed with micro-layering and simple staining of the third unit.

harmonisation of brightness, shade, volumes and texture; glazing, polishing and final checks of fit and occlusion.

Learning format

Commented demonstrations, individual hands-on work, supervised firings and group corrections. The trainer supports each participant in checking volumes, contacts, brightness and finishing.

The completed work is photographed and provided to each participant at the end of the programme.

Participation conditions

Small group: 4 to 6 people

In-person training at the ISDL laboratory. The location, schedule and equipment references are confirmed before final enrolment.
