Advanced ceramics

The programme at a glance

Reproduce a central incisor on a coping and harmonise four layered units with two stained canines.

Who is it for?

Experienced ceramists and dental technicians who work independently in layering and finishing.

Prerequisites

Master the complete production of a single ceramic restoration.

What you will produce

  1. Layer a single central incisor on a coping from a reference.
  2. Layer four units while preserving internal effects and aesthetic continuity.
  3. Stain two canines and harmonise the anterior composition.

Programme outline

Day 1

Single central incisor on a coping

shape, function, optical behaviour and natural integration; photographic assessment, shade, chroma, brightness and translucency.

coping and ceramic-space checks, ceramic mapping, connection, central-incisor layering and first firing.

Day 2

Four layered units

study of shapes, axes, proportions, embrasures and function; organisation of ceramics, dentine volumes, incisal zones and internal effects.

first firing, comparison with the reference, optical and morphological corrections, second firing and harmonisation.

Day 3

Two stained canines and final harmony

external characterisation of the canines, brightness, depth, proximal transitions and smile continuity.

morphology, macrotexture, microtexture, reflection lines, glazing, mechanical polishing and final comparison with the photographic reference.

Learning format

Commented demonstrations, individual hands-on work, supervised firings and group corrections. The trainer supports each participant in checking volumes, contacts, brightness and finishing.

The completed work is photographed and provided to each participant at the end of the programme.

Participation conditions

Small group: 4 to 6 people

In-person training at the ISDL laboratory. The location, schedule and equipment references are confirmed before final enrolment.
